Everything was good, excellent value for money. The hotel was delightful with a wide range of airy rooms. It was in a great location close to Falsgrave Signal Box. Shopping centres and all the major shops were right next door.

Proximity( 20s from the station) zero paperwork, care and cleanliness of beds.
We could use a general overhaul. Destroyed furniture in the lobby.

best location for train travelers, right across from the train station and yet only a ten-minute walk to the center. at the end of the 19th century it used to be the best house in town, nothing of the luxury has been left. it is incomparably cheap, with good full english (also veggie) breakfast. i had the corner room on the third floor, with a view of both the sea and castle. tea/coffee maker, water bottles and shower gel available. friendly, uncomplicated staff.
thorough encounter with a vacuum cleaner would have done the carpet in the stairwell good. single-fester ones are not really tight and noise-insulating. the hotel can't really do anything about the fact that construction workers with running truck engines pulled cables out of the passing road for hours in the middle of the night. bed was very shaky, with a list. tv is a small, old tube tv, at some point i even managed to get it to work. hotel's own pub was not very inviting for my taste, a few houses further towards the city centre there is the nice pub "the lord rosebery", with good, cheap food and beer until midnight.

Loved the views from our room and appreciated the clean linens. Enjoyed the late check-out that allowed extra time to explore.

The design of the room blended industrial style with comfort. Located conveniently across from the bus station, it allowed easy access to local attractions. The room lacked a sink plug, the towel situation could have been better, and I never encountered staff after check-in, which left me wanting. A few more amenities like biscuits would have enhanced the experience too.

A Decent Stay with Friendly Staff
I enjoyed my time here with my group. The staff treated us like old friends and offered great local tips. Breakfast was a highlight, perfectly cooked every morning. Just a heads up, keep windows closed for a quieter night. Solid value with friendly service.

Make sure to ask about the breakfast options early, as they can be limited and not fully stocked.

The room was clean and a decent size. I loved that there was a nice outdoor seating area to unwind in and the breakfast was tasty and well-priced. The shower didn't have the best water pressure, which was a bit annoying. A great spot for a family getaway. Just keep an eye on the parking situation! 😊

The victoria has a fantastic location, just a two-minute walk from the shopping streets and close to the seaside. The room was spacious with a large, comfy bed, and the newly refurbished bathroom was very clean. We appreciate the nearby cafes and pubs for breakfast, like the rendezvous cafe. Definitely a solid value for an overnight stay!

Charming Stay with Friendly Vibes
Spent 4 nights and overall, it was a cozy spot. The staff were super friendly, especially Lauren at the bar-she. Room 11 was a bit tight and basic, and cleanliness could be better. Breakfast was huge and delicious, though! Just wished the shower had more hot water. Great base for exploring!
